Our Programs
Community Navigation
One of our goals is to connect people with other helpful resources, services and opportunities. Our information board at the community lunch helps keep participants informed.
Community Health Workers from Rideau Community Health Services are available during the weekly lunch to check in with folks and direct them to other programs and services as needed.
Partner agencies routinely stop by the lunch to share information about their programs and services. Groups that have joined us include Lanark County Mental Health, ONTRAC, Adult Learning and Training Centre, and Service Canada.
Our Programs
Youth Programming
In partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters Lanark County, we offer a monthly food skills program during the youth drop-in program.
The youth help set the menu and prep the meal.
The Falls Food Hub is an extension of The Table in Perth. After the success with The Table, discussions began to bring something over to the neighbouring community of Smiths Falls to support the needs of the community.
We have our Community Weekly Lunch and our Community Navigation program helping provide resources, services, and opportunities to the community, as well as our Youth Programming with WAK in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County. View our programming page for more information.
We open our doors to anyone looking to connect with the community.
We are currently going through the process with our contractors and local partners to have our new location up and running. A set date will be confirmed later on. Our temporary location is at Hanley Hall, 30 McGill Street North in Smiths Falls, Ontario.
You can support the organization by volunteering or donating. See our Get Involved page for more details or reach out to us directly at ashley@thetablecfc.org.
We currently have weekly meals at Hanley Hall in Smiths Falls each Monday opening the hall at 11 a.m. for social time with lunch served from 12 p.m. to 1 pm.
We provide helpful resources, services, and opportunities to the community keeping people informed about health services and programming to access.
“The opportunity to establish the facility is going to feed people, bring people together, create better inclusion, and create warm and welcoming spaces for everyone.”
