Beginning in 2022, The Table Community Food Centre, alongside a dedicated advisory committee and the Town of Smiths Falls, began laying the foundation for a stronger community food presence. From that shared vision, The Falls Food Hub was created.

We envision a community where every individual, regardless of their background, has access to the resources they need to thrive. We aim to create spaces that feed the body, encourage socialization and provide support through our community resources.

Our story

How We Started

Building on the success of
The Table Community Food Centre

The Falls Food Hub draws inspiration from over a decade of impactful programming and community building led by The Table Community Food Centre. The Table has developed a diverse range of programs centered around food access, food knowledge and skills, community engagement, and advocacy. Woven throughout this work is a deep commitment to inclusion, care, and social equity.

The Table has knowledgeable staff that works alongside volunteers to deliver a wide range of programs, including a food bank, three weekly community meals, child and youth programs, community gardens and kitchens and guidance with local resources.

The Falls Food Hub has grown into the third leading program of The Table with the goal to expand and offer programs that fit the needs of Smiths Falls.
